1. These general terms and conditions apply to any order of products on the company's website. Animalis Petshop (hereinafter referred to as Animalis) registered with the register of legal entities under the number 0554.776.058. Its headquarters is located in Belgium, 5310 Wâret-La-Chaussée, Grande ruelle 11.

Any order of a product listed in the online store of the website https://www.animalis.be/en/ implies full and complete acceptance of these terms and conditions.
As a result, the client acknowledges being fully informed that their agreement with the content of these terms and conditions does not require a handwritten signature on this document, as long as the client wishes to order the products presented online in the website's store.
2. The client has the ability to save or edit these terms and conditions, noting that both saving and editing this document are their sole responsibility.
Animalis may modify the present general terms and conditions of sale at any time, provided that these modifications are displayed on its website. However, ongoing contracts remain subject to the terms applicable at the time of the sale's conclusion. It is therefore advisable to regularly refer to the latest version of the general terms and conditions of sale, which are permanently available on the site.
By "consumer," we mean any natural or legal person who acquires or uses products or services presented on the website for exclusively non-professional purposes. As a consumer, the client therefore has specific rights, which would be challenged if the products or services acquired through the website were actually related to their professional activity.
By "professional," it refers to any person who does not fit the definition of a consumer given above.
3. Animalis will fulfill your order subject to stock availability or depending on stock availability with its suppliers. Shipping times are 2 to 2 weeks, business days for Belgium. However, if despite its vigilance the products turn out to be unavailable after your order, Animalis will inform you by email and invite you to cancel or modify your order.
4. The availability of products is always displayed on our site as an indication. In principle, a product indicated as 'in stock' is available immediately. However, Animalis cannot be held responsible if the stock is no longer the same as the date when the order was placed. Any unavailability is generally noted on the website.
If Animalis cannot obtain a product from its suppliers within a reasonable timeframe (for example, in case of a stock shortage at the supplier itself), it will notify the customer of the expected delay by email. The customer can then choose to cancel or exchange their order based on this new information. No cancellation penalty will be applied for such an order cancellation.
Animalis reserves the right to send the order in two or more shipments if a product is unavailable. This will be done at no additional cost to the customer (the customer will only pay the delivery fee indicated at the time of order once).
5. By way of derogation from Article 1583 of the Civil Code, the goods sold or delivered remain the exclusive property of Animalis, until full payment of the order.
The risks associated with the transfer of ownership of products differ depending on whether the customer chooses to have their order sent through an unsecured delivery (postal service) or through a secured delivery.
If the order is sent by mail, all risks of loss and damage related to the goods are the responsibility of the customer from the moment of the order. Thus, the purchased items travel at the buyer's risk.
If the customer opts for a secure delivery, Animalis will cover the costs of any damage (theft, damage, missing items) caused to the product and will reimburse the transportation costs in this case.
6. The prices of our products are indicated in EURO, including all taxes, excluding shipping costs. Delivery and shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer (unless special conditions are indicated on the site). They are displayed, taking into account the information provided by the customer regarding the delivery location.
Animalis reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Animalis However, it is committed to applying the current prices that were indicated to you at the time of your order.
7. The full payment must be made at the time of your order.
At no time can the amounts paid be considered as deposits or down payments. All orders are payable in EURO. To pay for your order, you have the following payment methods: credit card or bank transfer to the account ofAnimalis.
In this case, the products are reserved for the customer's attention for 7 business days from the order, pending payment. Once this period has passed, we may decide to cancel the order.
You guarantee to Animalis to have all the necessary authorizations to use the chosen payment method when registering the purchase order. Animalis reserves the right to suspend or cancel any order and/or delivery, regardless of their nature and stage of execution, in the event of non-payment (or payment incident) of any amount owed. The delivery of any new order may be suspended in the event of a payment delay for a previous order, notwithstanding the provisions herein. Animalis reserves the right to request a photocopy of your identity card and/or bank statement for any payment by credit card.
8. Products purchased on Animalis are only delivered in Europe. They will be delivered to the address indicated on the order form. The deadlines indicated on the product sheet are indicative deadlines and correspond to the processing times for shipping, to which the delivery time is added.
Animalis cannot be held responsible for the consequences due to a delivery delay related to the postal service's responsibility. There will be no refund for the order until it is returned to the sender or arrives at the recipient with a delay.
In the case of payment by bank transfer, the order will only be processed upon receipt of the amount. Consequently, the applicable deadlines in this case are those on the day of receipt of the payment and may therefore be different from those mentioned on the day the order was placed. If you decide to cancel your order after payment and your order has already been dispatched for delivery, Animalis will only proceed with the refund of this product upon its complete receipt. It is strongly advised to return the product in its original condition.
The risks associated with your products will be transferred upon receipt of the Products.
9. Any reservation regarding the delivered product (for example: damaged package, already opened...) must be notified to Animalis within 24 hours of receiving the product.
Any issue regarding the items contained in the package (missing item, not corresponding to the ordered item...) must be reported to Animalis within 14 days following the receipt of the package. Any notification after this period will no longer engage the responsibility of Animalis and therefore will neither be refunded nor replaced.
10. Animalis commits to refund or exchange products that do not match your order. In this case, we kindly ask you to report it in detail via email at info@animalis.be and return to Animalis the product or products. Animalis will proceed, according to your choice, with the exchange or refund of the product(s). The request must be made within 14 business days following delivery. Any claim made outside this period cannot be accepted. If the product is damaged during transport and the value does not exceed €50, the item will be refunded to you in full or partially depending on the extent of the damage.
It is strongly advised to return to Animalis the products in the condition in which you received them with all delivered items (accessories, packaging, instructions...). In any case, you benefit from the provisions of the legal guarantee related to the warranty against hidden defects. Regarding expiration dates, we can provide you with the expiration date upon simple request via email. Any product with an expiration date that does not suit you can be returned to us at your expense. Indeed, it is important to request this in advance because we cannot predict how quickly the product will be consumed. We also commit to not shipping a product with an expiration date of less than 1 month.
11. IMPORTANT: if the customer is not present at the time of delivery and does not collect their package from the post office within 15 days, the package is returned to Animalis In that case, Animalis will return the package to the customer only when the package has been received back (or reimbursed by the postal service in case of loss), and the shipping costs for this second shipment will be charged to the customer, even if it turns out that the postal service did not leave a delivery notice.
12. In accordance with the law of July 14, 1991, the consumer has the right to notify the seller that they are withdrawing from the purchase, without penalties and without providing a reason, within 14 working days from the day following the delivery of the product.
It is strongly advised to return the products to Animalis in perfect resale condition, in their original state (packaging, accessories, instructions), duly sealed, along with a copy of the invoice or delivery note within 14 days.
Any product that is incomplete, damaged, or whose original packaging has been deteriorated will not be refunded or exchanged.
The consumer who wishes to exercise this right must contact Animalis within 14 business days via info@animalis.be
13. The computerized records, stored in the computer systems of Animalis under reasonable security conditions, will be considered as evidence of communications, orders, and payments made between the parties.
The archiving of purchase orders and invoices is carried out on a reliable and durable medium that can be produced as evidence.
14. The photos and texts illustrating and describing the products featured on this site are non-contractual and for informational purposes only. Animalis assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions in the photos or texts appearing on this site. Furthermore, regarding the technical specifications and product descriptions from our partners or suppliers, Animalis disclaims any responsibility for the validity of their content.
15. Without limiting the scope of these general terms and conditions of sale, any claim whatsoever concerning delivered products, non-delivery of products, or otherwise cannot exceed the purchase price amount of the products that gave rise to a claim for damages. In no case Animalis cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind (even if the occurrence of such damage was known or could have been known by Animalis) occurring in connection with its products, their use, their sale, or the website.
16. Animalis will do everything possible to fulfill its obligations but cannot be held responsible for delays or failure to deliver resulting from circumstances beyond its control, such as strikes, wars, natural disasters, or other events that prevent the production, transportation, or delivery of products.
In case of delay, Animalis will fulfill its obligations as soon as possible and reserves the right to allocate the remaining product stock among its clients in an equitable manner.
17. By placing your order, you give your consent for Animalis stores, processes, and uses the data collected from your order form. Some of this information may be transferred to companies involved in the delivery of your products. By placing your order and if you indicate it on your order form, you also give your consent for Animalis transfer such data to other companies whose products are available for sale on the website ofAnimalis, in order to provide you with information about other products and services that may be of interest to you.
To object to the transfer of such data to these companies, which aim to inform you about other products and services ofAnimalis or third parties, you must indicate your refusal in the appropriate section of the order form. You can obtain a copy of the data held by us concerning you by sending us a written request. If any of the data held by us concerning you is incorrect, it will be corrected upon your written request.
18. Animalis will do its best to try to settle any dispute amicably. If you are not satisfied with the method of dispute resolution and wish to appeal to the competent courts, the following rules will apply. The contract is governed by Belgian law. Each party grants exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute to be submitted to the courts of Namur (Belgium).
