Application Method
1- Locate the main tunnel by probing the ground with a steel rod. When the probe sinks 5 cm in one go, a tunnel is detected. Main tunnels are usually found along walls, pathways, or hedges.
2 - Clear approximately 30 cm and remove the soil in the tunnels.
3 - To set a trap, use the tensioner to spread the jaws apart.
4 - Place a trigger about 2 to 3 cm from the curved end and gently release to clamp the trigger between the jaws and insert the set trap into one of the tunnel holes.
5 - Repeat the same operation on the other side.
6 - Close the tunnel by placing a bucket, a board, or soil to prevent light and drafts.
For better efficiency, it is advised to use gloves, as moles have a very developed sense of smell and are very timid. Leave the traps and triggers outside for a few days to remove any odors (a rusty trap will be even more effective). When a mole is caught, reset the trap. Keep out of reach of children. Risk of pinching.
