Many mixes contain seeds, also for value for money, which is not good for goldfinches. This way, you end up with a cheaper mix, but totally disproportionate to your bird's health. Take cheap rapeseed for example, which actually causes liver problems in goldfinches! Or the black seed, an oilseed that birds like to eat, but is totally unsuitable due to its high fat content, which causes problems for goldfinches.

A unique blend of no less than 41 different seeds. All of these seeds germinate together in at least 24 hours with the right treatment. These seeds are specially sorted which, due to the germination process, provides additional vitamins, protein, and easily digestible fiber, which is very important for young birds because the germinated seed is easier to digest. Adding seeds to your eggs is a huge enrichment for birds and their young. Sprouted seeds also strengthen the immune system.

The right amount of formula to feed each chick depends on its crop capacity and its feeding behavior. Give small amounts of crop milk repeatedly in the mouth until the chicks are satiated and stop demanding food.
