Turnip is almost similar to rapeseed, the difference is the more bitter flavor of the latter. Turnip seed is rich in protein and favourable to the improvement of song, so it is interesting during the breeding season in canaries.
A type of seed with a mild taste and high protein content. They are also high in fat.
This seed is quite fatty, we advise you not to exceed 10% of your shuttle mix for colored canaries or posture canaries.
For singing canaries, the shuttle softens the song and can therefore be used at 30% of the mixture: in the latter case, we advise you to accompany your bird's diet with liver support.

The canary seed is a grass, an annual plant up to 1m tall, the seeds being found in the inflorescences. These seeds make up a significant fraction of the majority of bird mixes.
• Excellent for canaries, European and exotic birds, wavy parakeets and large parakeets.
Cardi seed is rich in protein and linoleic acid, which helps lower cholesterol levels and therefore reduce heart disease. It is found in parakeet and parrot mixes but also in native birds such as bullfinches.
Cardi seeds are high in fat. The amino acid proportions of the seed are very favourable, the arginine content is very high. The seed is low in lysine and methionine + cystine, while tryptophan is completely lacking.
Paddy rice seed or raw rice is perfectly suitable for exotic birds with strong beaks such as the Java sparrow and Asian-origin birds. This seed is also appreciated by parakeets, parrots, and exotic doves.
Baked and crumbled wheat biscuit.
Rusk is particularly suitable for the absorption of moisture in food.
Also ideal for mixing additives (vitamins, dyes, etc.) in food
Ideal for moistening egg pie.
Composition: wheat, water, salt and yeast.
Hemp seeds are highly nutritious and contain more essential fatty acids (EFAs) than any other source and are in second place, after soya, for their richness in highly digestible proteins, of high biological value. They are particularly recommended during the breeding seasons in order to stimulate the reproductive instinct of birds.
They have the property of binding to minerals such as calcium, iron and zinc and making them less bioavailable.
Spinach seeds contain vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B7, B9 and C, mineral salts and trace elements. Regular consumption helps to strengthen the feathers.
Flaxseed is rich in omega 3, which is essential for the cardiovascular system.
Niger, birdseed rich in phosphorus and calcium. Niger seeds (or nyjer seeds) are fine seeds rich in oil. They come from Guizotia abyssinica (also known as Guizotia oleiferous). The niger is highly prized by most birds, goldfinches and siskins love it.
The seed is mainly grown in India, Burma, Ethiopia and Nepal. Niger is an oilseed with a high fat content (38-43%) and protein content (23%). It provides quality food for all species of wild and forest birds, both in dry and sprouted form.
Niger is one of the few birdseeds with a good ratio of calcium to phosphorus.
Oatmeal or peeled oats are used in the composition of the basic mixtures of canaries and hooked beaks especially during the breeding and feeding period.
Its protein level is quite low, but it is a seed rich in energy.
Crude protein: 13%
Fat: 8%
Carbohydrates: 68%
Phosphorus: 0.4%
Calcium: 0.09%
Yellow millet is rich in vitamins and minerals and is an alkaline (non-acidic) cereal. It is part of the basic diet of parakeets, exotic birds and exotic doves.
Millet contains magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, manganese, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin PP (nicotinic acid) and vitamin B5.
Radish seeds have antioxidant, detoxifying, draining, and decongestant properties.
Peeled peanuts are very popular treats for parrots.
They are to be distributed sparingly because they are rich.
Ideal food to fill your wild bird dispensers, they will bring the necessary fat to the birds to spend the winter more easily.
The favorite of chickadees and a real treat for many birds.
Chia is a sage. It is an annual plant that can grow up to 1 m tall and whose scientific name is Salvia hispanica.
The composition of chia seeds is closely related to that of other mucilaginous seeds such as flaxseed and psyllium. Unlike flaxseed, however, chia does not present anti-nutritional factors, factors that limit the use of flaxseed without prior heat treatment. Anti-nutritional factors are cyanogenic glucosides or linatins, inhibitors of vitamin B6 that prevent its action. Chia also has a much more pleasant taste than flaxseed and is more likely to be eaten by birds.
