Cardi's seed is rich in protein and linoleic acid which promotes the decrease in cholesterol levels and therefore the reduction of heart disease. It is found in parakeet and parrot mixtures but also for native birds such as bullfinches.
Cardi seeds are high in fat. The amino acid proportions of the seed are very favorable, the arginine content is very high. The seed is low in lysine and methionine + cystine, while tryptophan is completely lacking.
Chicory seeds (cichorium intybus) are part of the health seeds that come from wild plants. These seeds are rich in fibres and minerals and promote intestinal balance.
They purify the body and are also effective in cases of indigestion.

Unlike flaxseed, however, chia does not have anti-nutritional factors, factors that limit the use of flaxseed without prior hot treatment. Anti-nutritional factors are cyanogenic glycosides or linatins, inhibitors of vitamin B6 that prevent its action. Chia also has a much more pleasant taste than flaxseed and birds consume it more willingly.
The milk thistle seed has hepatoprotective properties. It is therefore excellent for our birds to prevent liver problems.
Buckwheat is a seed that is very low in fat but rich in carbohydrates. This seed is ideal for feeding show finches and European birds.

Millet contains magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, manganese, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin PP (nicotinic acid) and vitamin B5.
Paddy rice seed or raw rice is perfectly suitable for exotic birds with strong beaks such as the Java sparrow and Asian-origin birds. This seed is also appreciated by parakeets, parrots, and exotic doves.
The thistle-Marie seed has hepatoprotective properties. It is therefore excellent for our birds to avoid liver problems as a preventive measure.
